Link du jour: Day of the Moon meta, with some lovely insights into River and a few particularly good beginning theories.

Pirate episode was a bit rubbish; still intrigued by the arc plot; very much looking forward to Gaiman's episode. Mostly I am not worrying overmuch about Who, and am instead having fun gallivanting about before my friends graduate.

Why is everyone on my rlist not shrieking about this? So far I have only seen one excited post, and that is ridiculous considering how many of us care about Doctor Who. But perhaps not everyone has seen it? So it is linking time!

Link: Q&A Transcript for the the Doctor Who NYC Primer screening! It is in fact technically spoiler-free; we mostly learn that Karen is on Team Fez and Matt is on Team Stetson, and that Moffat is still as evil as ever, and that Alex knows more than everyone else.

Excited flailing: an excerpt of the transcript, potentially spoilery Master business. )

I am marginally less ill! It is SNOWING, which is absurd! Yuletide reading goes apace and is, as expected, delightful! And the Doctor Who Christmas special was probably everything that I want in a Doctor Who Christmas special. MOFFAT, NEVER LEAVE ME.

The cut text protects you from fish! and spoilers. Mostly Christmas special spoilers, but I am also a bit excited about the preview of the upcoming season. )
Non-spoilery: today I bought a jean skirt that only goes about halfway down my thighs. I hesitate to call it a miniskirt because I don't think I could pull off a miniskirt, but goddamn, I feel like Amy Pond and it is AWESOME.

Spoilery: THAT WAS EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER WANTED IN A DOCTOR WHO FINALE. )
I have been so busy with Life Things that I almost forgot it was Doctor Who night! Luckily, I remedied that.

5x11: While I have faith that Moffat can come up with something better than the traditional Reset Button of RTD fame, I ... think this mess will definitely need a reset of some kind. Wow. Warning for wild theorizing along with potential casting spoilers at the end of the post. )

I forgot how much I sort of missed Doctor Who finales! Also, next week it'll be done for the year, which is awesome because once the season is finished I have license from myself to write SO MUCH FIC.

It's probably just because my life is a bit mad right now, or because last week's episode is only really now settling in, but wow, this one made me cry a lot. 5x10, Vincent and the Doctor. )

My poor computer. The battery is now so dead that when I unplug the hibernating laptop to carry it places, it shuts down entirely and has to reboot. Luckily, Firefox remembers my million browser tabs.

Also, I watched yesterday's Doctor Who! 5x09: OH MOFF TEIM, HOW SO CRUEL? )

I am going for dinner now, but if I have time later, I'll post vid recs from last night's vid party. Last night's SIX HOUR VID PARTY. It was awesome.
Tonight I staggered in drunkenly and told my mum that I am kind of a lightweight. Mum laughed at me a bit and told me in turn that it takes her about a glass and a half of wine to be completely smashed. Aha! I said. Being a lightweight is genetic! THANKS, MUM.

Anyway, um, that anecdote is by way of saying that [a] we really can blame our parents for everything and [b] hi, I watched this week's Doctor Who while quite tipsy! I cannot promise coherency of thought, considering how many typos I have already corrected here.

5x08: spoilers love the decent, brilliant people. )

It's Doctor Who day! Again! IT'S HAPPENING EVERY WEEK, HOW AWESOME IS THAT.

5x02: I think I loved it a bit less than everyone else seems to, but I am still quite fond. ) Yeah, still excited for Moff time. :D
I am writing this entry on the other side of a concert and everyone else's reaction posts, so these are not really pure or coherent thoughts, but nevertheless, I saw The Eleventh Hour! Fnargx01: pretty excellent, really. )

And now, an End of Time screencap recap! (Yes, both parts, because I'm shallow thorough like that.) This is not idle capping in vain, though, oh no. Well, mostly it is; I love staring at David Tennant and John Simm. But besides that, I have also suddenly rediscovered the crazy fever that takes hold when I have new Doctor Who food for thought and am seized with the desperate urge to write. I need to organize my thoughts; for that, I have to rewatch; and, in order to rewatch without someone holding my hand, I must pause every five seconds to take a screencap and say something about it.

In the process of this write-up -- which took literally all day, I might add; oh, the ridiculous labors of love I do for Doctor Who -- I discovered that I actually adore these episodes. To teeny tiny ridiculous flawed pieces.

This is mostly a Doctor/Master recap; to do the whole thing would be insane. Er, allons-y. Spoilers, obviously; extremely rambly meta, as tends to happen with me and Doctor/Master; image-heavy (88 caps) and not for the slow of browser. )
Now that I have overcome the first shock of belatedly realizing that Nine may have been my first Doctor but that Ten is My Doctor, and that having him go was a wrench (no matter that Rusty actually stopped me from being teary-eyed by making the whole thing overwrought), I have some slightly more structured thoughts. End of Time, take two. )
