from ten years on
My poor computer. The battery is now so dead that when I unplug the hibernating laptop to carry it places, it shuts down entirely and has to reboot. Luckily, Firefox remembers my million browser tabs.
Also, I watched yesterday's Doctor Who! Things I did not like: that it hinged on a permutation of the Idiot Plot, ie Ambrose had to be a total fucking dumbass and the Silurian general had to be a jingoistic sociopath. I might have liked to see at least one sane female Silurian, come to that, but Amy and Nasreen were both full of much BAMF-itude, so that was mostly not annoying.
Things I did like: Nasreen lived, and will be an awesome Silurian-human ambassador in a thousand years! I still love Elliot! Amy is still hugely badass and pickpockety! I AM HUGELY INTRIGUED BY THE CRACK AND HOW IT EATED THE TARDIS.
Things I am anxious about: that the crack in reality is going to eat the TARDIS! Or, since it's shrapnel, the TARDIS somehow creates the crack ...? I don't know, but either way it makes me worry. Also, oh my god, Rory. I rewatched Amy's Choice earlier today with Mel, which sort of lessened the emotional impact, because watching Rory die twice in one day is kind of too much. I confess that I looked up casting spoilers, and that while they don't tell me much, I'm still assuming that Time Can Be Rewritten is one of the thematic things going on in this season, which means Rory is not permanently dead. I'm a bit shattered that Amy doesn't remember him, because I want someone besides the Doctor to have to grapple with difficult emotional things, but at least it fits the rules of the universe.
In conclusion, NEEDS MOAR RORY, but I think I will content myself with Bill Nighy guest-starring next week.
I am going for dinner now, but if I have time later, I'll post vid recs from last night's vid party. Last night's SIX HOUR VID PARTY. It was awesome.

I agree with this post!
Also, the crack took Rory, so when they fix the crack problem they will get Rory back. *nods consolingly*
And it broke my heart how hard the Doctor tried to get Amy to remember him.
Also, Ray Kowalski moment. Always wear a vest!
(finished thought-dumping on you, thanks!)

I am hoping so! I am just anxious because Rory seemed pretty dead before the crack ate him, so plausibility says that Amy will remember him, but not necessarily that he'll be back for real. BUT I WILL KEEP UP HOPE.
