Today I bring unsolicited DVD commentary for And Count Myself a King of Infinite Space. It is only thinly masquerading as DVD commentary, though, and when it grows up it mostly wants to be an essay about Billy Tallent. Right now, though, it mostly exists in demonstration of the fact that I have watched both Slings & Arrows and Hard Core Logo enough that I can meta about both of them with reasonable intelligence.

Commentary! Interactive in the sense that people should totally talk about HCL with me. )
the SORTING HAT meme

IMDb reminds me that Half-Blood Prince is going to be out on Thursday. I will probably go see it over the weekend, because I have no particular love for HBP but I do have a theory that I like each of the films in inverse proportion to how much I like the books, so by that logic I will enjoy myself quite a lot. Also my inner fourteen-year-old (do I have an inner fourteen-year-old? I really hope not) would be Very Disappointed In Me if I didn't go see it with at least some promptness. Of course my inner wee fangirl also probably wants to know when I packed up the fannishness and moved to Canada. Wasn't Britain good enough? Huh?

Speaking of, Torchwood! I still have not got around to seeing the new series, and I'm sure by the time I do, all the reactions are going to be deeply buried in the depths of journals where I will never find them. I am pretty much okay with it, though, because I got most of my character heartbreak out of the way in s2 (everyone who loved Owen, raise your hand! yes, all three of you) and I am not really invested. Honestly I'm just waiting for the part where Rusty leaves and new things start to happen.

In the meantime, brb, am off to watch the paint scene important plotty bits of s3 Battlestar Galactica. Or something. Yes.
