help the canadians ate my brain
...Yeah, I'm officially procrastinating on my own fun (the F/K/V is making me want to curl up in a corner and flail, okay) because instead of writing I started making GRAPHS. Extremely unscientific graphs about how there are only eight actors in Canada. Or, well, more like twenty-five. All I know is that I have unscientifically proven that almost everyone has been on due South. Or at least have worked with Paul Gross at some point.
I believe the rule I worked with here was "I have seen this actor in at least two things, and I have seen both of at least two said things they were in." By this criteria I did not acknowledge those times when CKR has variously made out with Molly Parker and Sandra Oh, even though I know they happened, and I did acknowledge THE DOG WHO PLAYED DIEF. Because he was also in Twitch City. Go figure. /o\

This graph is awesome because it shows you how EVERYONE HAS BEEN IN DUE SOUTH. Including gobs of the BSG cast. Also staggering amounts of people are in Flashpoint, most of whom were also in Slings & Arrows, so that's been fun. And Julian Richings is not, in fact, in everything, but since he is Bucky Haight I am now pretty much incapable of watching the Mortimer Brothers scenes in S&A without rolling around on the floor laughing.

This graph is awesome because it gives a visual for the way everything goes back to Paul. And Callum. And Hugh. This mostly begs the question of why Paul and Hugh have never been in the same thing, although considering that the very idea makes me want to giggle nervously and hide behind a convenient couch, maybe that's my answer right there. I'd ask why all three of them have never been in anything together but clearly the answer to that one is "Their combined hotness would expedite global warming enough to cause an immediate apocalypse," so never mind.
POSSIBLY SOMEONE SHOULD SAVE ME FROM MYSELF.

::BLINKS::
I know. But I can't...help it.

You can repent by linking me to the rest of the FP fic you mentioned? :D?

I will someday have to update my own chart

Your chart is way saner. Or at least I suspect it is slightly less incestuous.
Also: CKR is in everything. Ever.

Guh... now I have Bones, Chuck, Dollhouse, and Caprica come wintertime... DUDE DOLLHOUSE AND CAPRICA WILL PROBS BE DOING THE SAME TIMESLOT THING AS BSG. I THINK WE NEED CRAZY TECHNOLOGY/IDENTITY FRIDAY NIGHTS THIS SPRING Y/Y?
OH AND CATCHING YOU UP ON DOLLHOUSE MUST HAPPEN. BEFORE JAMIE BAMBER SHOWS UP.
Oh and I did buy the BSG game. It looks epic.

sdksdfkds too many showwwws. I am sure we will do it somehow, though.

I'm going to somehow try to keep up with Glee but I don't even know if I can despite how it's kind of amazing. I'm mostly focused on Dollhouse because it's stolen my heart in ways it really should not have at this point. I think it's the GIGANAMOUS overlap with BSG fandom. Like... it's ridiculous. I did a poll over in a Dollhouse comm and something like 60% of the fans over there were HUGE BSG fans with like another 15% saying they like BSG.

This is my kind of science.

Aaaand now with added Jessica Steen, because I really am that compulsive!

And it occurs to me that your F/K/V fic might possibly be a fic that I've wanted to read for a long time. I mean, I want to read an F/K/V fic in which there is no prior F/K, F/V or K/V, but instead there is lots of friendship and partnership and gen interaction before anything romantic/sexual happens between all three of them. Your fic might or might not fit this description, but anyway, I am looking forward to reading it. \o/
And I procrastinate on fic-writing all the time. Sometimes I do it by writing other fic, which is at least productive.
no subject
\o/! Um, I am not sure how entirely my fic fits this description, because I am not sure how gen any of the interaction really is, but I have an outline broken up into six parts and nothing sexual happens until part four, so I think that probably counts at least a little? :D
no subject
And, well, gen is a relative concept. I guess what I really meant was that I wanted a long build-up for the relationship.
*cheers you on with the writing*
*procrastinates on research about subelliptic operators, which is what I should really be doing*
no subject
And oh, well, in that case! It is a really, really long build-up. /o\ Because usually in an F/K/V you just have to negotiate Kowalski and Vecchio into bed, and it can sort of be taken as written that they both already love Fraser? But in this one I have to spend just as much time getting Fraser and Kowalski to be friends. Hence pretty damn long build-up.
<333 And good luck with your research, whenever you do get around to it!

I would end that sentence with a \o/! But of course, you're the one who has to write it. : )

Also, pimpage:
H20 is magnificent--really, really well done. I can't rec it enough. It helps, though, to read Captain Laura's wonderful "H20 for non-Canadians" Part 1 and Part 2, and print them out for reference during viewing. Seriously, it's one of the big reasons I'm such a dork about Canadian politics. [/dork] Don't be scared, though, you don't have to know everything that's going on to get the coolness of it all (bonus: Pretty much the first person you see is Turnbull. Well, Dean McDermott, anyway). *g*
And definitely, if you make the T-shirt, let us know! :)

Were I to make a t-shirt, I would probably ... clean up the images a bit first and make them slightly more legible. But I am actually considering it now. :D
no subject
I don't remember if Dean is the very first person you see, but he's there, like almost immediately.
If you do make a shirt, you'll let us know, right? 'Cause I'm so there. :D
