help the canadians ate my brain

...Yeah, I'm officially procrastinating on my own fun (the F/K/V is making me want to curl up in a corner and flail, okay) because instead of writing I started making GRAPHS. Extremely unscientific graphs about how there are only eight actors in Canada. Or, well, more like twenty-five. All I know is that I have unscientifically proven that almost everyone has been on due South. Or at least have worked with Paul Gross at some point.

I believe the rule I worked with here was "I have seen this actor in at least two things, and I have seen both of at least two said things they were in." By this criteria I did not acknowledge those times when CKR has variously made out with Molly Parker and Sandra Oh, even though I know they happened, and I did acknowledge THE DOG WHO PLAYED DIEF. Because he was also in Twitch City. Go figure. /o\

This graph is awesome because it shows you how EVERYONE HAS BEEN IN DUE SOUTH. Including gobs of the BSG cast. Also staggering amounts of people are in Flashpoint, most of whom were also in Slings & Arrows, so that's been fun. And Julian Richings is not, in fact, in everything, but since he is Bucky Haight I am now pretty much incapable of watching the Mortimer Brothers scenes in S&A without rolling around on the floor laughing.

This graph is awesome because it gives a visual for the way everything goes back to Paul. And Callum. And Hugh. This mostly begs the question of why Paul and Hugh have never been in the same thing, although considering that the very idea makes me want to giggle nervously and hide behind a convenient couch, maybe that's my answer right there. I'd ask why all three of them have never been in anything together but clearly the answer to that one is "Their combined hotness would expedite global warming enough to cause an immediate apocalypse," so never mind.

POSSIBLY SOMEONE SHOULD SAVE ME FROM MYSELF.

These graphs deserve to be on a T-shirt. Hey, I'd wear one. :)

Yeah, I think it would work that way. Although maybe you should add H20 on account of both CKR and Paul Gross are in it? Except if you haven't seen it then you wouldn't want to put it in, right? It's really good, anyway. And then there's Martha Burns who was in dS and S&A and The Trojan Horse and Blindness (with Don McKellar) and erm. But I digress. *g* I would definitely buy one, it'd be awesome.

There are a whole BUNCH of things I haven't seen yet--not enough hours, and stuff.

Also, pimpage:

H20 is magnificent--really, really well done. I can't rec it enough. It helps, though, to read Captain Laura's wonderful "H20 for non-Canadians" Part 1 and Part 2, and print them out for reference during viewing. Seriously, it's one of the big reasons I'm such a dork about Canadian politics. [/dork] Don't be scared, though, you don't have to know everything that's going on to get the coolness of it all (bonus: Pretty much the first person you see is Turnbull. Well, Dean McDermott, anyway). *g*

And definitely, if you make the T-shirt, let us know! :)

I was just editing: Part two has the wrong link. Real one is here.

I don't remember if Dean is the very first person you see, but he's there, like almost immediately.

If you do make a shirt, you'll let us know, right? 'Cause I'm so there. :D
