The #1 thing I really hate about buckling-down-and-writing-papers days: my brain decides that, in between the ten-minute bursts of productivity, it has to come up with every brilliant thing I should be writing instead, right now. For example, I spent most of this morning slowly constructing sprawling plotty post-ep7 White Collar fic.

Then my brain took a sharp turn and thought, "You know what would be really awesome? Kate-from-White-Collar/Victoria-from-due-South fic!" No but really that would be fabulous. Find the gold! Get the girl! Leave your lovesick pretty boy standing devastated on a train platform!

I think I need to get food. And to step the hell away from the internet.

Of course, I think that Kate/Victoria only works if one assumes that Kate is evil -- or at least Not On Neal's Side, even if she loves him -- but it's a really fun thought, at least. :D

(And oh, I think Diana deserves someone more interesting than Kate. But if I do end up writing White Collar fic, I'm pretty sure Diana will be in it, because she was awesome.)

She does deserve someone better than Kate. Regrettably, there is a dearth of women on the show. So the only choices are Kate and Elizabeth, and Peter and Elizabeth are so CUTE together that I don't want to imagine Elizabeth with anyone but her husband.

Actually I can see Elizabeth with Neal, but I think this is mostly my reaction to the fact that the fandom seems to think "Neal/Peter/Elizabeth OT3!" really means "Peter and Elizabeth are so cute together that there's no way we can toss Elizabeth out, but really we want Elizabeth-sanctioned Peter/Neal." Which is slightly creepy to me? If there is an OT3 I also want Peter-sanctioned Elizabeth/Neal.

But the point remains that Diana/Elizabeth wouldn't make much sense.
