and I have inappropriate lady gaga songs about vampires stuck in my head

Things that are making me stupidly happy:

+ The Enterprise pizza cutter. If I had cash for superfluous things and/or an urgent need for a pizza cutter, I would buy the hell out of that thing.
+ The Foresmutters Project, which warms my archival heart and brings me Kirk/Spock from the 1970s. I am a bit stupidly in love with it.
+ TOS on YouTube. All of TOS is on YouTube! I don't think I will ever have the wherewithal to watch ALL THE STAR TREK, but I am accidentally making a go of it anyway, because TOS is right up there with due South and select Highlander epiosdes for stupid comfort telly.
+ Kirk/Spock fic sometimes has mindmelds AND alien anatomy! I mean, so does Doctor/Master occasionally, but the latter does not usually give me a fuzzy happy feeling inside. And I would read so much more G'Kar/Londo if they also had mindmelds. And if there were more than eight G'Kar/Londo fics on the internet. ...Man, I have so many OTPs with aliens in.

In COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NEWS, I am engaged in an epic email brainstorming session with [personal profile] oliviacirce concerning a Highlander/White Collar fusion. Look, Mozzie has a loft and a dojo, and Neal clearly ran with the Rat Pack too back in the day. It was pretty much inevitable.

I think there should be mindmeld AUs for fandoms without empaths and such! Mindmelds are always relevant to my interests.

I think I must be a heretical slasher, in that I don't really see the sexings between Kirk and Spock? Mindmeld all over the place, yeah, and they so married. But I am luke warm about actual porn. IDEK.

To be fair, it'd be mostly a White Collar fic; knowledge of Highlander probably only has to extend to "Immortals! Sometimes cut off each other's heads! Are followed around by a secret society of Watchers!" and you'd pretty much have it covered for this one.

Oh, I totally know that much. I saw all the Highlander films (you mean there more than two? <.<) and watched the show really sporadically. I just never sat down to watch the entire thing.

Sporadically is totally the way to watch the show! I'm sort of doing it by character! First I did all the Methos episodes; now I am doing the Amanda episodes! It is good fun that way.

Oh, I watched...*goes to look at Wikipedia*. Oh hey, I missed one. Who knew. I watched, I, II, II, Endgame, and the Source. The joke is, as I understand it, fans don't acknowledge anything past the first two.

There was an animated TV show? *headtilts*

I -- I'm so sorry. Actually usually only the original movie is acknowledged, although occasionally I'll also come across fic that takes Endgame into account. Other than that, forget it.

I enthusiastically rec Methos! Some of the eps are much better than others, but I pretty much uniformly enjoy him.

I am torn between two thoughts about the Enterprise pizza cutter:

Thought 1: I can't believe something thought that up, but I WANT ONE.

Thought 2: You can't use the Enterprise to cut pizza! That's sacrilege! It's like using Babylon 5 as a rolling pin.

You may think now you won't watch all of Star Trek, but just you wait. TOS is the gateway drug to the Star Trek World... mwahaha.

Ah, but you see, now I want a Babylon 5 rolling pin! I want a whole set of spaceship kitchen implements! I'm now completely stymied as to what the Millennium Falcon could be turned into, though. A soup dish?

Noooo, not all the Star Trek!! That is not a very terrible fate, though.
