1. The first character I fell in love with: Roslin.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Gaius Baltar! I didn't like him even one tiny bit before mid-s2, and by the end I loved him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Does everyone love Athena? I am not very fond of Athena.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: For a given value of 'everyone else,' but I am fond of Anders.
5. The character I would shag anytime: KARA THRACE.
6. The character I'd want to be like: ...Would I want to be like anyone on this show? Maybe Roslin. On her good days.
7. The character I'd slap: EVERYONE.
8. A pairing that I love: MumbleKara/Leobenmumble.
9. A pairing that I despise: WHY TIGH/CAPRICA WHY.
10. Favorite character: Kara.
11. My five favorite things about the fandom: I guess I like that everyone can find their niche? I like that there is even a Kara/Leoben niche! I also love that there is Cylon Fandom. I love that one of the major pairings is Adama/Roslin, because lots of fandoms just ignore the older characters. I love a staggering number of the fanvids.
12. My five least favorite things about the fandom: OH MY GOD STOP HAVING PAIRING WARS, I DON'T FUCKING CARE, WHY DON'T SAM AND LEE AND KARA AND DEE JUST HAVE AN ORGY OR SOMETHING, WHATEVER. I think that covers it!
13. My five favorite characters: Kara, Roslin, Gaius, Six (ANY SIX, ALL SIXES <333), and Adama.
14. My five least favorite characters: Tory Tory Tory Tory Tory (god I wish she was a character instead of a loathsome plot device)

16. My five least favorite pairings: Tigh/Caprica, Chief/Cally, Lee/Dee ... I think I am ambivalent about everything else?

18. My deep, dark fandom secret: I have an ever-more-complicated rewrite of the show in my head. Originally it was just a rewrite of s4, but then I decided I didn't actually like the Final Five concept, and it sort of ... spiraled from there. I will 99.9% never write it down, though.

PFFT show me someone who does not have STRONG FEELINGS OF RAGE toward BSG s4 and I will show you a person I'm not sure I want to get to know.

And man I feel you on the ship wars. BSG was sort of my first serious fandom as an adult and I was like WEE SHIPPING :D and then very quickly ...O_o

My five favorite things about the fandom: It has produced a lot of awesome meta, it apparently crawls happily out of the woodwork to say hello to new people, it actually coughed up some Londo/G'Kar fics when I went looking, it celebrates the canon het pairing, and according to the AO3 the biggest number of fics are Talia/Ivanova, which is AWESOME.
12. My five least favorite things about the fandom: I think this mostly boils down to "I am sad that it is old and relatively inactive."
13. My five favorite characters: Londo, Delenn, G'Kar, Ivanova, and ... god, I don't know, EVERYONE?
14. My five least favorite characters: BYRON :(((, Lise, Kosh II, Lorien, William Edgars.
15. My five favorite pairings: Londo/G'Kar, Sheridan/Delenn, Ivanova/Talia,(me/HOW IS THE TEXT SO AWESOME), and ... after that I run out of things I ship hard, and start just happily shipping everything.
16. My five least favorite pairings: Byron/Lyta, Delenn/Lennier (unless Sheridan is invited too, in which case I would read that so hard), Garibaldi/Lise, and after that I also run out of things I specifically don't ship, although I'm sure there are things that might squick me.
17. The character I am most like: ...To my faint horror, probably Sheridan.
18. My deep, dark fandom secret: I want to write Londo/G'Kar tentacle porn. :D?

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I am astonished at the depth with which I love Eleven, given that Ten is a bit My Doctor.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: ...um, it always feels dangerous to say 'Rose,' but god, I love her in s1 and I hate how her character arc went.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: River Song, so there.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Delgado!Master. Five. Ace. Martha. Sarah Jane. Ten. Amy. River. Eleven. :D
6. The character I'd want to be like: I may want to be Sarah Jane when I grow up.

11. My five favorite things about the fandom: It is huge! You'll find at least someone who agrees with you on most points. There's always new stuff. The squee factor is high. And the Doctor/Master corner of fandom is basically awesome.
12. My five least favorite things about the fandom: The wank, oh god, the wank. The shipping wars. The which-Doctor-is-better wars. The determined character hate, especially of the women. And, at least at the moment, the absurd slut-shaming that goes on around Amy.
13. My five favorite characters: The Doctor, the Master, the Brigadier, and my horrible cheating answer of Barbara Jamie Zoe Liz Jo Sarah-Jane Romana Tegan Turlough Ace Mickey Martha Donna Rory Amy. :D
14. My five least favorite characters: Um. Peri, Adric ... You know, I have a really rubbish time disliking companions.
15. My five favorite pairings: Doctor/Master, Doctor/Romana, and ... after that I just start wildly shipping the Doctor with companions.

It is indeed possible--my parents HATED the Muppets with a virulent passion and would not let the Muppet Show in the house. They didn't approve of the Muppets on Sesame Street, either. And they didn't have issues with other shows that had puppets, so I don't know what the issue was here.

Oh, excellent. Although I have to observe that this displays a disturbingly accurate assessment of my Kermit-appreciation.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't know if everyone loves him, but I don't understand why anyone would bother liking Louis Gardino.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: I am, I think, fonder of Francesca than the average fan?
5. The character I would shag anytime: Fraser. Also Kowalski. Also Thatcher.

10. Favorite character: My answer is either Fraser or Kowalski, depending on my mood. At the moment it's Fraser.
11. My five favorite things about the fandom: It is amazingly wank-free, kind, and welcoming! It is the Fandom That Does Not Die! It's small enough to feel like a community without feeling clique-y. It thinks threesomes are a viable solution to everything! And it is the gateway to the awesome crack that is C6D fandom. I LOVE IT.
12. My five least favorite things about the fandom: Sometimes I am a bit sad that it is not huge, because if it was, there'd be subfandoms for every character, including Uncle Tiberius, and that'd be AWESOME. The women don't get enough attention, for the most part. And there should be about a billion more C6D crossovers than there are. Mind you, I could fix all of these complaints with fic. I can't really dislike anything about the fandom, to be honest.
13. My five favorite characters: Fraser, Kowalski, Vecchio, Welsh, and Thatcher. Oh and also Turnbull and Frannie and Victoria and Bob.
14. My five least favorite characters: Gardino, Dewey, Stella, the first Mackenzie King, and sometimes Buck Frobisher.

Oh dear God yes. And I would not have minded it QUITE so much if they had retained their OotP personalities. But HBP and DH didn't have Remus and Tonks--just people with the same names.

Well, I did spend a while hating him, back when he was doing clearly awful things and all the characters around him still inexplicably loved him. I still think the characters -- Harry especially -- are too kind to him, but I did suddenly love him again when the narrative acknowledged that he was an awful person. Because I am incredibly easy for characters who are terrible people when the story is self-aware about it.

This was basically Baby's First Fandom. :D My mom read it to me as a kid.

1. The first character I fell in love with: If we're allowed to count The Hobbit in this, then Bilbo. If not, then Gandalf.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Boromir! I wasn't able to properly appreciate what was up with him when I was ten. :D
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Wow I don't care about Legolas the way some people do.
