oliviacirce and I frosted about a hundred tiny cupcakes and watched Tennant's Hamlet. My soul is soothed and contented.
Today I woke up with a raging cold, and if my head feels sufficiently uncottony, I'll be apartment-hunting. In the meanwhile, though, this is a comfort-fic-and-telly day. This also means it is a meme day, because I am sufficiently ill that I can mess around guilt-free! Therefore:

1. The first character I fell in love with: If we're allowed to count The Hobbit in this, then Bilbo. If not, then Gandalf.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Boromir! I wasn't able to properly appreciate what was up with him when I was ten. :D
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Wow I don't care about Legolas the way some people do.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: ...Who does everyone hate? I LOVE EVERYONE.
5. The character I would shag anytime: FARAMIR. Also Eowyn. I wouldn't say no to both. :D
6. The character I'd want to be like: Sam!
7. The character I'd slap: Denethor! Goddamn it, Denethor.
8. A pairing that I love: Frodo/Sam. *draws little hearts*
9. A pairing that I despise: ...I am sure there are plenty of ships out there that would horrify me, but I'm not going looking.

14. My five least favorite characters: Ted Sandyman, Wormtongue, and Denethor are in the "well-drawn characters I want to stab" category; Sauron and Arwen are in the "a bit disappointed at their use" category.
15. My five favorite pairings: Frodo/Sam, Merry/Pippin, Legolas/Gimli, Faramir/Eowyn, and I know Beren/Luthien is from the Sil but I love it so much it's there anyway.
16. My five least favorite pairings: I am not going to contemplate this?

18. My deep, dark fandom secret: I can't actually get into the fandom. I mean, I ship Frodo/Sam harder than almost anything in the world, but if you tried to show me fic where they did anything more than kiss and cuddle (and ... basically what they do in the books anyway) I won't want to read it. I childhood ship them. If that makes sense.
