Oh, for fuck's sake, LiveJournal. (She says, crossposting.) LJ's interstitial advertising is putting your computer at risk for malware. And here I was wondering why my computer had suddenly contracted pop-ups, why my legit malware detector had caught a trojan, and why my computer is suddenly incapable of opening PDF files. (This last might be a different issue entirely, of course. This laptop is nearly four years old.) Things seem to be behaving now, and I've backed up all my files, but this is just ridiculous.

This brings me to link #2, which is a great list of reasons to move to Dreamwidth. Obviously I still use LJ, but I use it in an incidental supplementary way, and I have DW codes going spare. Come hang out over here! WE DON'T HAVE FUCKING MALWARE.

(i would have said this anyway, but it's especially pertinent since i've been rewatching reboot!who (all of new series 2 in one day lolol um) and continue to be fascinated by how reliably my favorite episodes are all moffat -- and the ones that make me want to bash my head into walls? well that's all rusty, all the time.)

I don't think Moffat is god or anything, and I'm not sure about his ability to do entire sustained season arcs (see: Jekyll, another show of his that was awesome and creepy but not terribly coherent the whole way through) but I am still ridiculously excited for his Who. :D

agreed; my only experience with him has been comedy shows like coupling, and then the single-shot who eps -- so i'm not, like, professing my total confidence in his ability to construct and maintain a solid arc in a somewhat more dramatic show (i hesitate immensely to call reboot!who 'serious', so you know what i mean :p) -- but whatever he does kind of has to be better than the end of time, yeah?
