Taking a break from my massive amounts of work to record two unrelated fannish things:
i. I dreamed that I was in a sled dog race that ended in Chicago; my mum had to drive me to the airport but kept missing her U-turn, so eventually I decided to get out and walk. I ended up at the rundown bohemian flat of an AU wherein Ray Kowalski and Stella were still married. Ray went into the bedroom to chat with Fraser, and because my brain is a cruel mistress I did not join them but rather stayed out in the living room talking with Stella, who inexplicably had long brown hair and was so unremittingly awesome that I understood exactly why Ray Vecchio wanted to end up with her. And then we went to see a Harry Potter musical together. I don't even know.
ii. There is another new Doctor Who trailer! (It starts at about 0:22.) gf;lsdfkfsd. It looks like the Master's been summoned, like, some people actually took the specific time to RESURRECT HIM. It looks like he and the Doctor might actually get some proper confrontation! And honestly, even if they don't, you have Ten calmly walking through stuff blowing up. Not that he doesn't do that sometimes already, but my massive hopes made me kind of get the chills because I read a lot of scary deliberate calm. This is probably not so! But I am hoping anyway!
Really, though, I want to point this out:

feverbeats: you may observe that bleach-job strangely-twink Master is WEARING A COLLAR to go with his hoodie and his possibly-doomsday-computer; fs;ldlkjldfshkdshkdshdfsjdjk I CANNOT EVEN. Goddamn, I wanted to write weird role-reversal fic but now I think I want to write REALLY EPIC role-reversal fic. heeeelp.
I think that about covers it, even though it is a rather silly collar and my actual plot-theory is more along the lines of that whoever resurrected him is keeping him prisoner in some way. This does not, in fact, in ANY WAY detract from the fact that, while wearing a collar, he delivers a calm smirking "I am the Master." I missed you, evil boyfriend!
The YouTube sidebar also has a preview of Tennant's Hamlet, but I feel this is somehow secondary.

I am terribly excited now too, because while I was already in full speculation of how the Doctor might show change in the Christmas episode, I wasn't considering how the Master might be changed. Nothing like epic role reversal to spark such contemplations.
By the way, if you write that fic, you will not only have my profound gratitude, you will have my expression of it through baked goods. Or whatever you want, really.
