THESE DOCTOR WHO MINI-EPISODES OH MY GOD

Bad Night & Good Night
First Night & Last Night

I am infinitely charmed by Moffat's willingness to write and film fic for his own show. Because these are absolutely fanfiction: wacky improbable adventures are happening just off-screen, but the story at hand is about these people in the TARDIS having emotions at each other. IT GIVES ME SO MANY FEELINGS. Also I do believe I want fic of this fic.

I am clearly a sad panda, because I am far less interested in Amy having feelings at the Doctor than I am with the story about how the Queen got turned into a goldfish and how the Doctor got her out of it. (Also, I want to know how the Prince of Wales got the TARDIS phone number, because I thought only Companions learned that number--and if Charles was ever a Companion, I want to know about that, too.)

AND I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY ASSIGNMENT FOR YULETIDE.

SO MANY FEELINGS. Though some of them are about how I really wish Moff would incorporate some of these fic moments into the actual episodes, because I think last season really needed Amy talking about how her life doesn't make any sense, and his answer to that. I mean, I am still thrilled and delighted to have it here rather than not at all, but.

Also, dammit, I need to know WTF the Doctor is up to with Marilyn Monroe. Good grief, the woman's life was not that long and she was pretty busy for most of it. When did she fit in fighting a possessed orchestra on a moonbase, or riding in a biplane with River Song? Although, OMG, River/Marilyn = DO WANT. Aaand we're back to feeelings.

Perhaps her time is also constantly being rewritten.

But, see, this seems worrisomely irresponsible of the Doctor! I mean, considering she is both (a) a very famous person who interacted with a lot of other famous people and thus should probably not have her timeline altered too much, and (b) also famous for having identity issues, bad relationships with powerful men, and killing herself. It seems like it would be one thing if it were a "Vincent and the Doctor" thing where he happened to meet her once and they had a lovely day. But if he's messing with her head in any way like the way he's messed with the three Ponds'...?

I realize this is a highly absurd thing to obsess about, and Moffat probably isn't thinking farther with it than "notable hot lady of the past!" so I shouldn't either. I can't help it. I want to know WTF is up with him and Elizabeth I, too, but at least Liz One lived past the age of 36. :/

EEEEEEEEE these are amazing! (Though I agree with everyone, need to be in the show.)

My question--if that fish isn't the queen, is it Jim?
