summer writing syndrome

So this Loki fic that I'm writing. It is a little bit skipthedemon's fault, re: this thread, but it is mostly my fault, both for Loki being my character type to an absurd degree, and for the fact that I'm doing that thing, the thing where it is summer and I'm hiding indoors from the humidity and my mind latches onto this one thing I want to fix and story I want to tell and then WORDS, WORDS FOR WEEKS.

This is by way of saying that I've been writing this fic for two weeks now, and it's at 24,000 words. That's only half the daily output of the season projects, but it is more than enough of the daily output for NaNo, and also already 4000 words longer than anything else I've written barring the season projects. And it's not anywhere near done. I just -- god, I hope it comes in under 50,000 by a good margin?

Basically, what I'm saying is, HAVE A GIF THAT ILLUSTRATES WHAT MY LIFE IS LIKE RIGHT NOW.



I am so sorry I seem to have gone completely mad. Again.

...I can see how two weeks of LOKI IN ONE'S BRAIN might not be the healthiest, yeah!

But then, I was listening to interviews with Tom Hiddleston, who was talking about how he was living with Loki in his brain for more like SIX MONTHS, and I was like, wow, good job coming out the other side sane, sir!

I know, right! Oh man, I should just be happy that I am not also forced to wear the horned helmet. :D (Also, oh my god, I love Tom Hiddleston a whole lot. I just want to ruffle his hair and tell him that I love his acting. He is my ... getting-through-Loki-sane-spiration?)

Yeah, apparently that helment was quite a pain to have to deal with -- like, he could hardly hear when he was wearing it. Also, heavy and awkward.

But I kind of love Tom Hiddleston a ridiculous amount after watching/reading a whole lot of interviews with him. I didn't even intend to watch/read all those interviews; it just happened. He's all adorable and nerdy and intelligent and seems a genuinely great guy. Even though the difference between his natural hair and his Loki!hair CRACKS ME UP. He is an excellent inspiration for many things, methinks!

Yep! And I think he called it the metal balaclava. Poor guy.

How did you happen upon these interviews? By which, could you point me to them? I have fallen into a habit of YouTubing interviews and staring at him all starry-eyed, but there has been a tragic lack of proper-written up stuff, and I am fond enough of him that I would like more. :D
