I think the thinking goes: The kid in the suit is maybe what killed the Doctor. River killed somebody, maybe the Doctor. Amy is maybe pregnant. Picture of Amy holding baby = Amy's kid. Put that together and shake.
I agree with you, though. I *seriously* don't think the kid is little!River. Ew. And if the Doctor did have a Time Tot, Amy would be all over godmothering, I think. ETA: By which I mean, that's a perfectly valid explanation for the picture.
I am not sure what is up, and I'm pretty sure no matter what I guess it will be wrong.
Although I did guess that the Doctor would be in the Pandorica before "The Pandorica Opens". I actually thought it might be a future!Doctor, coming out.
Yeah, I suppose I can follow that train of thought. But it seems like sloppy thinking, like what Moffat maybe wants us to think, and, as far as I know, is far too soap-opera-ish for the solutions he comes up with for his Who plots. I guess we shall see?
