I think the thinking goes: The kid in the suit is maybe what killed the Doctor. River killed somebody, maybe the Doctor. Amy is maybe pregnant. Picture of Amy holding baby = Amy's kid. Put that together and shake.

Yeah, I suppose I can follow that train of thought. But it seems like sloppy thinking, like what Moffat maybe wants us to think, and, as far as I know, is far too soap-opera-ish for the solutions he comes up with for his Who plots. I guess we shall see?

I get why people are jumping to the River is Amy's daughter place, but...If River was a Time Lady, or even part Time Lady, wouldn't the Doctor be able to tell?
Technically! I keep thinking that he should've sensed the child, too, except maybe the Silence told him not to. (Also, if River is Amy's daughter BY THE DOCTOR, then Moffat just wrote Doctor/River into a place that is Not Okay in family telly, which is ... y'know, unlikely.)
So, I don't watch Who (yet) but doesn't fandom also think River is the Doctor's wife from the future? If so, doesn't this mean that fandom's theory is now that Amy is the Dactor's mother-in-law?
Fandom does think this! And, if nothing else, River is at this point textually the Doctor's friend-with-kissing-benefits from the future. So yeah, by that logic Amy is the Doctor's mother-in-law. It's ridiculous.
I am actually now 110% convinced the kid is River's. As in, Amy is holding River's baby, because they are friends. So that is extra hilarious to me really.
WAIT THAT MAKES PLENTY OF SENSE. Including in the way where River could easily conceivably have a half-Time Lord child, SINCE IT LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS IN FACT BANGED THE DOCTOR IN HER PAST. The only flaw in this is why she had no reaction to the little girl herself. Maybe she thought she'd lost the baby? IDK this is a bit convoluted too but I like it much, much better.

My theory goes that this kid is the Doctor and River's, and that she will die sadly. Which makes the Library ending just that bit more okay.
