This morning I awoke to the shrieking of my friends after they'd opened their fandom valentines from me. I still have a few to give to people I won't see until classes tomorrow, but for the most part I am done and vastly pleased with the whole endeavor.

I never really thought of Valentine's Day as a giftfic day before, but I am starting to suspect that everything can be improved by making it a giftfic day. Here is a full list of Canadian Six Degrees Valentines, all of which are fuzzy and delightful and cause me to make small noises of joy; I did this one from Kowalski to Fraser, which I link not so much for my card as because my recipient wrote a reply from Fraser that completely melts my heart.

The Vagina Monologues last night were pretty excellent too! Perhaps weird overcommericalized holidays are what you make of them.

Amelia read me the Rose/Martha one you made for her, and it was so cute! Also, Happy Valentine's Day!(a bit late, sorry). I haven't been around much because my family arrived on Friday to visit for a week, and it's been great to see them and show them around Edinburgh. Hope to see you lurking in the background on skype soon- or even, you know, actually get to talk to you! =)

I'm sorry I'm slightly rubbish at Skype talking, btw, but I am always mad awkward on the phone even if there's a video feed. It still makes me really happy whenever you turn up, though! Especially when we get to be nefarious and make Amelia paranoid. :D

Very belated response now- but don't worry about being awkward on skype. You're definitely no worse than me, and it's always awkward for me thanks to Amelia's silly microphone, since I can't hear what's going on unless someone is talking directly into it. So if I just sit there looking bemused while you two are talking, that's why. But yes, being nefarious together is fantastic fun and we should do it more often! =D
