Here is a two-minute clip from what I assume is near the beginning of The End of Time part 2. And, um. Wow, I kind of dig it. I am sure it falls apart again about two seconds after the clip ends, but in the meantime, I, um. I'm just really easy for the CGI and the costuming, all right?

I love how my Who squee is really intricately bound with actually hating most of it and wanting to salvage a few bits to create awesome. I have a page of notes and manic longfic energy to spare. Good job, self.

If this is her contacting Wilf in mysterious ways, that would be kind of awesome, although I am kind of fond of the random-novel-canon of Romana III looking like Louise Brooks. They should give her to Moffat and make her look like Louise Brooks!

Like, screw the Master and the Rani, what about Rassilon and Omega and Borusa (which, Borusa was a fucking TRAGEDY, cos I heart him in Deadly Assassin and then in Five Doctors he goes all megalomaniacal) and &c &c? It's built into the show's premise! And even though the Doctor is sad and emo about being alone, it's mostly because he's sad about [a] that whole genocide thing and [b] now he doesn't have any authority to rail against. I LOVE EVIL TIME LORDS.

Ah, okay, that is true! I mean, it's not a jump to me because enough of their leaders have been evil, and they have all been ... insular and ineffective enough in their policy of non-interference? that I think it is sensemaking. Or, at least, if Timothy Dalton/the Narrator/the President/whatever is all "GUYS I HAVE A GREAT IDEA, THIS TIME WAR STUFF IS RUBBISH SO I MOVE THAT WE END TIME ITSELF AND THEN HANG OUT FOREVER IN CONTEMPLATION BEING IMMORTAL IT'D BE AWESOME" I would buy it.
