FIC (part eight)
AND WE'RE DONE!!
We're done quite late because today was D&D day and we weren't ... quite finished editing before our session started, oops. But it's done now.
Find a Home, by Aria & filiabelialis, Thor/Loki
Loki lets his head fall back, a despairing smile baring his teeth. "What do you mean by home?"
Part eight; in which everyone copes with the aftermath of the war, and figures out how to be family.
(Previously: part one; part two; part three; part four; part five; part six; part seven)

"You're easy to love," Loki murmurs behind him ... "That was a good and honorable thing to do."
dies and dies and dies OH LOKI. He sees Thor so, so clearly, and yet.
"Please," Loki grates out. "I'm not lying this time. I am trying to do you the honor of honesty, please, hear, me."
involuntary whimper
...I have now got to the bit where Thor can detect a note of pity in JARVIS's voice. I am not sure I can cope with this.
And now I'm at work, having read up to the point where Loki appears in Thor's room after Thor freed him, and half of me just wants to go hide in a meeting room and read more, and half of me is glad to have the excuse to remain poised on the same knife-edge that Thor is, not knowing which way Loki will jump or, indeed, if he'll choose to fly instead. THOR, YOU ARE MAKING SO MANY BAD DECISIONS I CAN TRULY BELIEVE YOU ARE RELATED TO LOKI. It's impossible to untangle the love and desperation in Thor's heart, and nothing is okay. NOTHING IS OKAY. Steve's disappointed "He's a prisoner." Natasha. Everything. Everyone. If only JARVIS would let Thor up onto the roof and also Thor would understand that there's a difference between taking responsibility for your actions and taking responsibility for their consequences and also also everyone had a lot more therapy.
