home again
Back home! Mildly exhausted, and living in that weird place where I want to organize my thoughts and talk about important, interesting things, but everything is coming out a jumble because I want to do everything all at once. Right now I expect that all I am up to is going through my billion accumulated tabs -- I am so delighted with Firefox's new tab grouping feature, seriously, it is the first 'improvement' in ages that is actually an improvement -- and reading a backlog of fic. I'm being utterly rubbish about replying to comments right now, but I think I can live with that.
I have a laughably huge pile of books to read, about half of them borrowed from Olivia. Seriously, the stack may fall over at any moment. I am also very tempted to rewatch all the Harry Potter films before going to see Deathly Hallows 2 in a few days; I would be tempted to reread the books, except ... no. Not in two days. I would drown in FEELINGS.
Oof, my brain really is a jumble. I suspect this post isn't actually as disjointed as it feels to me, but even so. Um, besides FEELINGS I also have a ridiculous mental list of WIPs? To make this post less scattered I will make the mental list an actual list, mostly for my own reference.
01. Demon's Lexicon; untitled Nick/Alan: What it says on the tin. Olivia let me adopt this story, actually; it's about Anzu propositioning Nick, and what Nick does, and how Nick and Alan deal with it, and I am trying very hard to not be spoilery about Surrender here. Basically, I would happily write Alan forever.
02. Demon's Lexicon; untitled Market poly: Again what it says on the tin! Um, basically this has Jamie/Seb, Jamie/Nick, Nick/Mae, Mae/Sin, Sin/Alan, and Nick/Alan, and it the story of how I am a bit anxious with the endgame pairings but think they could all work it out if they were in a complex poly family.
03. due South; Neutral Zone: The F/K/V s2 AU. This fic is from forever ago, but I actually have substantial amounts of it written, I love it a whole lot, and I want to finish it. I may have to rewatch bits of due South in order to do so, but this is ... really not any kind of hardship.
04. Highlander; Look on My Works, Ye Mighty, and Despair: The Methos fic! I have two fifths of it written, anyway, and I love it to pieces. SOMEDAY I WILL VANQUISH IT.
05. Thor; Ragnarok (the semi-untitled Sigyn sequel): Also what it says on the tin! In which Darcy and Loki bring about the end of the world.
06. Thor; untitled genderfluid Loki: I am not sure if this fic is an excuse to write fun gender politics while disguising itself as a fic about Loki fucking with the Avengers, or if this fic is an excuse to write Loki/EVERYONE while disguising itself as a fic about Loki's gender identity. I suspect the answer is BOTH.
Those are my more insistent projects, anyway. We shall see!

(...if you want me to get off my ass and actually send you beta-y comments on that second part of Look On My Works, I can actually do so. I am just occasionally a horrible person when it comes to being anything remotely resembling timely. Um.)

(Also hah, no rush at all! I am mildly more likely to continue writing Look On My Works if you give me beta-y things, but honestly I am totally zen about it right now. <333)

I AM EXCITED FOR ALL THESE FICS, especially #5 because Sigyn took my brain hostage. Buut even though I know nothing about Demon's Lexicon I will READ THOSE ANYWAY.

I am very excited for the Sigyn sequel too! The only reason I am not already feverishly writing it is that I have not decided whether it's from Darcy's or Loki's POV.
Re: Demon's Lexicon, oh my goodness, get thee to a library NOW. The Lexicon trilogy is completely amazing -- it has fun complex worldbuilding, and I love all the characters (and ship EVERYTHING), and it has amazing, amazing twists especially in the first book, and everything is full of tasty moral ambiguity, and my favorite character is a lying liar that loves his brother to pieces. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED OKAY.

well
okay then
um I don't actually have a library card for where I am right now but as soon as I am back in Toronto I will GET RIGHT ON THIS.

Also, DON'T LET ANYONE SPOIL YOU. Seriously. I suspect the books would be great even if you knew some of the big reveals, but going in unknowing is AMAZING.
