So I watched some telly? Spoilery but short:

The Smallville finale: I hadn't watched anything that happened after the end of s7, so Tess was a delightful surprise! I am massively happy Chloe survived, too, and I unexpectedly shipped Lois/Clark like burning (perhaps because they actually reminded me of proper Lois and Clark?) so I have let go of a bit of my Chloe-isn't-Lois disappointment. I'm mostly just a sucker for all the stories in which Lois knows Clark's secret.

Meanwhile, Lex! LEX. The part where Olivia and I almost broke one another's hands with joyful clutching was Clark and Lex's one scene together, specifically "I'll always be there to stop you"/"I'm counting on it" and "I'm sorry I couldn't save you, Lex." It's like Clark grew up or something! I shouldn't give him that much credit, considering that he spent most of the episode needing motivational speeches in order to fight Darkseid, HELLO IT'S DARKSEID OF COURSE YOU ARE MOTIVATED, but I don't care, Clark fucking apologized. I have already edited out of my brain the bit where Tess claims that she's given Lex a neurotoxin that erases his memories, because she was clearly bluffing. In my headcanon Lex absolutely remembers that conversation with Clark, and they spend the rest of forever in this weird delicate balance of Lex trying to change the world and Clark stopping him and both of them caring about each other a whole lot. The end.

And Doctor Who: I have only silly reactions to this episode. I love that at least one of Team TARDIS is a Muse fan, especially because Supermassive Black Hole is a staple of my Doctor Who playlists. I am fond of Rory having things to do, and also of him taking the gangers side, cos he has been plastic himself and is also generally full of compassion and reasonableness. The only part I actually cared about at all, though, was ganger!Doctor, because I am always a fan of the Doctor having to deal with himself. The writing wasn't awful on this one, so I'm hoping that next week we'll at least get some decent two Doctor bits.

The idea that the Doctor might be a Muse fan is *still* making me laugh. And yeeees, very curious to see where ganger!Doctor is going.

SMALLVILLLLLLLE. OH GOSH I DON'T THINK I CAN WATCH IT. :(

"I'll always be there to stop you"/"I'm counting on it"
oh holy shit. Yeah, I won't be able to deal with this episode.

And I know it'll take its last chance to SMASH MY HEART and run with it, mostly because I have had a headcanon about Lex losing his memories since season one, ahaha.

In other words, I maybe need to write the two SV fics I've been meaning to write. Um.

AAAAAH TOO SAD. :( idk, I personally (being the comics purist that I . . . sometimes am) wouldn't have minded Lex losing his memories (because none of Superman functions the same way if he doesn't, which would be interesting, but--I wasn't expecting it), but I really, really wanted Clark to use his Kiss of Lethe that he's always using on Lois to make Lex forget. That might only be movie canon, but it would have still been great.

YOU BOTH NEED TO DO IT. :D :D :D Mine are a) that hideous Lex/Lionel fic that is somehow your fault and b) the messy Clex thing I started once, parts of which have been on my hard drive since I was like sixteen. I am starting to think it's going to have to work as a disjointed, non-linear, weird thing.
