I somehow managed to avoid having that epiphany at all until I actually came across something that mentioned it at the age of 17, and then I felt really dumb. But I never really thought about religion even though I went to a Christian elementary school and borrowed the Narnia books from friends at the same time, and then I didn't reread them for almost a decade.
