I am dashing off to my afternoon class and thus won't have insta-answers, but here is a meme I stole from dira because it was irresistible:

1. I write down a list of 10 characters.

2. You choose however many of those you like and ask me a question about them. Examples: "What happens when 5 and 9 are forced to take care of a baby?" or "1, 4, and 8 walk into a bar. What happens next?" or "What does 3 do when s/he finds out that 10 is pregnant with 7's child?" You get the idea. :D

a. Neal Caffrey suddenly gains superpowers!!! I want to give him invisibility and force-fields, so that he can protect himself from guns and be even stealthier. It does not turn off his anklet, though, so he continues doing as he always has, BUT WITH SUPERPOWERS. This gives Peter a headache.

b. Donna Noble is trapped in a Canadian shack! She elects to be there with Martha, because Martha has good survival skills and they can swap Doctor stories.

c. Peter Burke and Benton Fraser vs the Master and Elizabeth! Clearly the Master and El win by a lot, and then go and take over the world. It's awesome.

d. Ray Kowalski is picked up by the TARDIS! I kind of want to give him to Seven, because Ray would love to kick a Dalek in the head.

e. Marry Peter, shag Fraser, and gently send Donna off to have an excellent life fighting aliens and things.

4 and 8 have a friendship that turns to enmity! Why were they friends and why aren't they anymore?

6 and 7 are trapped in a scenario in which they have to kill each other to escape, such as in one of the Saw movies. WHAT THEN, ARIA?

Neal Caffrey and Ray Vecchio are both extremely uncomfortable with the scenario you have given them. They're pretty sure they could come up with an alternate escape plan, but if push came to shove I am pretty sure that Ray could take Neal out.

7 and 2 wake up in bed together after a hard night of partying, with no memory whatsoever of how they got there. What is their response to this unseemly situation?

1 and 4 get stuck in an elevator together for twelve hours. How do they pass the time? Do they come to blows, or do they bond over the experience?

3, 6, 8, and 10 decide to start a band. Who plays what instrument? Who is the leader of the band (and who's jealous)? Who hogs all the groupies and heroin once the band hits it big? What eventually causes the band to flame out in a blaze of melodrama? And, most importantly, what do they decide to call the band?

1 through 10: HIGH SCHOOL AU. Who's in which clique? Who writes emo poetry because they don't get to sit at the lunch table with the popular kids? Who gets expelled for smoking weed under the bleachers at the pep rally?

Donna Noble and Ray Vecchio! I kind of want this fic. They both feel painfully awkward, won't meet each other's eyes, and try very hard to piece together what happened to bring them to their current situation; in the end they get breakfast together, realize their huge mutual attraction, and go on to have an adorable dorky relationship.

Fraser and the Master get stuck in the elevator. Fraser tries to mend the Master's ways; the Master tries to strangle Fraser with his own lanyard. Fraser knocks the Master out and ties him up with said lanyard. When the Master regains consciousness, they give each other a lot of really awful relationship advice.

Peter Burke, Neal Caffrey, Martha Jones, and the Tenth Doctor start a band. I DIE FROM HOW AWESOME THAT IS. Martha and Neal do main vocals and guitar; Peter plays bass; the Doctor likes playing keyboard, but usually ends up being the drummer. Neal has all the groupies; Ten tries not to be jealous and pretty much fails. Eventually Martha thinks the whole thing is ridiculous and leaves to go solo. And I think they are called TIME-TRAVELING CONFIDENCE SCHEME, even though that's a mouthful. :D

Your high school AU breaks my brain, so I will beg out for now and probably leave you a separate comment with it later. /o\

You see, my knowledge of Due South and Doctor Who is almost entirely from fandom osmosis and I still want to read the fic where Fraser and the Master get stuck in an elevator. Also the White Collar/Doctor Who band AU because that is the best band name ever. Ever.

a. 4 and 7 have a vendetta against 9. Why? What happens to resolve it?

b. 6, 2, and 1 are stuck on a desert island. How do they get off?

c. 1-10 are on a spaceship! Who's captain? First mate? Engineer? Basically, what are everyone's roles and how do they go about them? (Yes, I am imagining Starfleet, but that's not required.)

a. The Master and Ray Vecchio have a vendetta against Elizabeth Burke! This is because they understand that, unlike them, she actually landed one of those Virtuous Hero Types, and actually married him, and is so ridiculously awesome they cannot hope to compete. They manage to resolve it when El caters a party for them and takes them aside to coach them in the Ways Of Awesome.

...I can't wrap my head around the Master and Vecchio agreeing on anything, though.

b. Neal, Donna, and Fraser are stuck on a desert island! Neal is sad it is deserted, because it means he can't sweet-talk the inhabitants into helping them. Donna would call the Doctor, but she has no reception on the bloody desert island. Fraser uses obscure survival skills to build them a viable boat and navigates them back to the nearest civilization.

c. gfl;dskdjsf. Much as I said to kinglets, your optionally-Trek AU breaks my brain, so I will beg out for now and probably leave you a separate comment with it later.

Oh my god, I want to see b., if only because the idea of Neal and Fraser interacting is incredibly charming.

Man, all my favorite AUs have already been suggested. How about:

-that time when 5 and 10 got bodyswapped and it was all down to 2 to find the cure.

-4 and 9 are long-lost siblings! What is the tragic story of their past? Will they ever be reunited?

-Why was 6 afraid of 7? (:-P)

-What's it like when 1 is the supreme ruler of the world with 3 as their consort? What happens when 8 leads a rebellion to claim the throne?

Ray Kowalski and the Tenth Doctor have been bodyswapped! No one can tell the difference anyway except for Donna, who's noticed that the Doctor now gets suspiciously snarky right back at her. So she and Ten!Ray go to find Ray!Ten, and since Ray!Ten is still the Doctor, he knows the cure to being bodyswapped.

The Master and Elizabeth Burke are long-lost siblings! Basically they both got fed up with Gallifreyan society at the same time; the Master went off to take over worlds, and El settled down with this nice Earth guy and takes over worlds more subtly. We'd better hope they never get reunited; the universe wouldn't stand a chance.

Neal Caffrey is afraid of Ray Vecchio because Ray is likely to arrest him!

If Fraser was supreme ruler of the world with Peter Burke as his consort, everything would be made of law-abiding goodness and light and PUPPIES. And be extremely orderly. Eventually Martha Jones gets so deeply creeped out by this that she makes everyone believe in the Doctor instead.
