ignorance is the only evil
Apparently the number and quality of Thoughts I have on Eastwick are directly proportional to Darryl's screen time, which is perhaps mildly shameful. This being the case, I only have a handful of thoughts tonight.
* Jamie is the creepiest creeper to ever creep -- I am [a] worried for Penny and [b] ever more wildly unsure whether I should be assuming that Darryl is, on the scale of things, less evil than Jamie; then again perhaps Jamie doesn't even know about Darryl and I should mostly be worried about him re: Roxie. Oh the ~mystery~!
* Weirdly this episode made me ship Joanna/Will more. Clearly they are perfect for each other and doomed to never be on the same page because their combined earnest awkwardness and various crises of consciousness have DOOMED them.
* I am not sorry they gave Raymond the pox (as long as it is not contagious to children). I am ... unsure what to do with Ivanka the hotshot lawyer (who looks SO FAMILIAR, perhaps because she has been in lots of things that I've seen although going through her IMDb profile had me doing a lot of "Seen that" and not much "OH YES I REMEMBER HER") because, um, slight exaggeration aside and usual Scary Lawyer Tropes intact, she actually would be quite useful were Kat attempting to completely annihilate Raymond. I'm kind of glad that she's not, though, that she's ... resisting Darryl's easy and immediately satisfactory answer? I don't know. I utterly believe the way Kat is being wrenched around, though, and I want to give her a hug. Alternately her new roomie Joanna could give her hugs! and kisses and sex, because I apparently SHIP THEM ALL.
* Despite Darryl having ... one scene and change, he still managed to do one of those little speeches which fill me with "YES, EXACTLY!" delight. I believe it was to the tune of advising Roxie to investigate Jamie on her own, because as Aristotle said, knowledge is the only good and ignorance the only evil, and she should rely on her own initiative rather than purely on visions. Bulldozing of flowers and hotshot lawyer aside, I really, really like Darryl.
Obviously this calls for lots of Joanna/Kat/Roxie fic! and, of course, the one with Darryl and Fraser. I am much more likely to write the latter, but everyone should write the former because I am still enjoying the new and shiny glow of having some femslash I am genuinely invested in.

Are there good odds of doing Joanna/Kat/Roxie? Because I could use some good femslash in my life.

Oh dude Then I'll Take Care Of You. I have no idea how much sense it would make or awesomeness it would hold without seeing the show, but I am mad fond and as far as I know it is the only OT3 fic so far. And unless I end up wanting to stab the show in the face by mid-December, even if I am not assigned an Eastwick fic for Yuletide I will probably end up doing one as a stocking stuffer.

I am also worried for Penny! I continue to love her more and more.
There was a sad shortfall of threesome references in this episode, though I guess it's hard to do more than last week's without switching to Showtime...

PENNY. <333
I am mostly okay with the lack of threesome references because now Joanna and Kat have moved in together. Obviously Joanna will now rediscover her college lesbianism, Kat will have someone taking care of her, and Joanna will be reminded that she really is great in bed. :D

Uh-oh. Are we inherently frightening?
Also: Darryl is surprisingly beyond great.

Darryl is stunningly awesome and I am unsure what to do!

Heh. My dad, who is an emeritus law professor, used to love Law & Order - but he had to watch with a notebook in hand in which to record all the procedural inaccuracies that bedeviled the show or he couldn't stand it for more than about 5 minutes.
I am unsure what to do!
Succumb. I think he'd like that :-).

That sounds a lot like the way I have to watch old sci-fi shows. As long as I write down all the ways in which they DESTROY PHYSICS, I can watch the whole thing.
I think succumbing to Darryl is a good life plan. :D
