White Collar is back!
First: NEAL FENCING IN HIS SHIRTSLEEVES. NEAL FENCING IN HIS SHIRTSLEEVES. It's like they reached into my brain and found the one thing that was guaranteed to make me go "NNGH" for a minute straight.
I think I am fine with Peter and Neal's trust being totally broken, even though it also breaks my heart a bit and I spent most of the episode hugging myself unhappily because, wow, I want them to be okay. Legitimately or not, one of the things I most trust this show to do right is the Peter/Neal relationship, so I am definitely giving it time.
I am less sure what they are planning to do with Sara. Like, in terms of stuff that Neal was visibly regretful to leave when he thought he was going through with their escape plan, as far as I can tell it was mostly June and the Burkes. Sara wasn't even a thought. And that's okay, because I don't think he's remotely serious about her, but ... I just want to show to do right by Sara, I guess? Which means have her be something besides Neal's Not-Serious Love Interest.
As a bunch of people have pointed out, I also really, really want the show to do right by the fact that, um, Moz and Neal's Big Final Haul is ... blood-soaked Nazi loot, guys. RETURN IT. And I am fairly sure that it's just not even going to be a consideration, and, ugh. This was, um, possibly not the best chaser to X-Men the other day. Sigh.
That said, yay, show is back! I am pretty happy about that.
