For example, the last few days I've been distinctly unmoved by Katherine Hepburn, but today all of a sudden I went OH HEY. Indeed they do! It's fascinating. And I think I'm becoming better at guessing how the collective flist-mind works, too; I went into this round guessing that it'd probably be Zooey going, although of course there's still plenty of time for that to change. (I may be using my newfound psychic powers in an attempt to keep Ellen Page in the running as long as possible, just to see if I can. I would be doing the same with Katharine Hepburn except that in my brain, all pictures of her are the most attractive picture.)

I I oh my god. Okay, my favorite movie with her in it is The Lion in Winter, although she's one of only an intersection of reasons that I adore it; for young Kate being goddamn glorious, try The Philadelphia Story. And if you like those I can rec you more, although a lot of the ones I'm fond of are screwball comedies, so if you get embarrassment squicked by that I will ... have to think up others, I guess. She was in a hell of a lot of films. :D

Well Lion in Winter is already basically at the TOP of my to-watch list of movies, on account of ELEANOR OF ACQUITAINE, and also your previous enthusiastic recommendations of it. So now it is even more of a priority, obviously!

The Philadelphia Story is also now on my to-watch list, and looks like fun.

And yeah, screwball comedies are...often not the best for me. But it depends!

It is indeed lovely! Finding good pictures of Ellen Page is kind of a challenge, because girl's 24 but she looks about 18 unless she dresses a very particular way.

I would be all over an all-vintage version of this poll. I mean, yes, it probably would become a "who have you heard of" contest, but -- I have never heard of Louise Brooks before, and from those pictures alone, I would NEVER vote her off because I think I want to stare at her ALL THE TIME.
