Yeah, I posted my comment and scrolled up and saw that someone else had talked about the chess scene and went, WHAT REALLY, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE? I think part of what gets me about it is that it's kind of emblematic of their relationship: messy and sprawly and complicated and utterly compelling, and also very tied up with their relationships with the rest of the universe.
