The unexpected dangers of talking about my younger self: I am now listening to My Chem's Na Na Na on repeat and watching the pilot of Smallville. Oh yeah, and wearing an oversize hoodie! SELF, WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHEN YOU WERE ACTUALLY FOURTEEN. /o\ (Well, let's be honest: I was listening to Avril Lavinge and reading really awful Harry Potter fic, so this is a step up. From that. Probably a step down from earlier today when I was watching Star Trek TOS and listening to Vienna Teng, though.)

Most of the Clark/Lex fic I have bookmarked is a sort of Smallville/DCU mashup. Comics fandom is so pick-and-choose anyway.

It's cool! I love fic that operates on that principle. (It is also why I am having MASSIVE COGNITIVE DISSONANCE with the Kirk/Spock fic I am reading! Because if it is TOS, the show did all that work for you, but if it is reboot, you need to do that damn work yourself, and when reboot fics pretend to be TOS fics I get a headache and run away to read dS fic some more instead. Ahaha.)

OKAY. OKAY. There is NOTHING WRONG with reading HP fanfic. In fact is is an IDEAL STATE OF BEING. (Well, Star Trek is pretty great too.)

I really liked Smallville for the first season, but it got old really quick. Plots are not it's strong suit. And it was also depressing because it starts off SO SLASHY but because of the Glass Ceiling of Homosexuality is goes nowhere and eventually I was like, "REALLY? REALLY? If these were real people they would've had so much sex by now- why can't I be watching THAT show?" It was frustrating. Then Lex turns into an ABSOLUTE DICK and not in the fun way. :(

The pilot charmed me! I have been told it is not too good by almost everyone, though, so I am just asking for Good Lex Episodes and then stopping. Also, have you seen Bad Romance, AKA The Most Epic Clark/Lex Vid Ever? I basically just want to watch all the episodes those clips are from. And, having seen that vid, I can conclusively say that CLEARLY they have been having so much sex. If the show does not believe that, bah.

Speaking of the Glass Ceiling of Homosexuality, and also Star Trek, I am delighted to discover that TOS really doesn't have it. Like, yeah, Kirk and Spock aren't making out on screen! But they are still SO MARRIED.
