*cracks up* Well, so far my experience with Highlander fandom is that [a] a lot of it is awesome, but [b] it is very old school, by which I mean that most of it was written in the late 90s and the first half of the 2000s (...do any of us actually know what the hell this last decade was called??) so the aesthetic is different from that of active current fandoms. Which is fine, but does mean I'm hitting the back button a bit more often than I wish I was, because my standards are skewed differently.

As to the actual source material, at least the way I did it, it's not a huge drain on your time. I mean, yes, Highlander is a six season show, but I did The Methos Watchthrough, and that's twenty episodes + whatever bit of wiki reading needs to be done to fill in the gaps between.

Which is not me helpfully letting you stay out of this fandom! But Methos is worth it. XD
