Vorlons: most people handwaved the early signs of their ruthlessness away, yes; because of the LotR conditioning, I suppose, assuming that since the Shadows were clearly bad news the Vorlons must be good.
I mean, I didn't properly ship them until season four, when I was hit really hard with the OTP Bat, but retrospectively, yeah. They spend an entire episode fighting over flowers!
