Oh! Oh! I suspect Moffat of starting to implement the Cartmel Masterplan, or at least I sort of really want him to. Have you ever read the tie-in book Lungbarrow? That's got some really interesting stuff on The Doctor's origins which Cartmel had intended to gradually introduce to the series when it was taken off the air lo those many years ago. If those things finally become text, I shall possibly explode with squee. If this is the case, then I reckon that John Hurt is not, strictly speaking, playing The Doctor at all...
