And now it looks more like I'll get my own computer back sometime early next week. Since I leave town on Wednesday, I am ... now less than serene about this. So fuck this noise, it's time for a meme.
1. Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment.
2. Ask your flist to post questions in the comments. For example: 'One, nine and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. Do they succeed?', 'Under what circumstances might five and fourteen fall in love?', 'Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?'

1. 7 has amnesia, and is given into 1's care. Does 1 help them to regain their memory, keep them in the dark for their own good, or take shameless advantage of them?
2. 8, 12, and 15 are all undercover at a circus. What roles do they take when performing, and are they working together or against each other?
3. 3, 5, 13, and 14 are on a roadtrip. Where are they going, who's driving, who buys the snacks, who picks the music? And do they arrive at their destination or perish in a fiery auto crash?

I. Of 1, 9, and 15, one is the host/star of a prime time network game show, one is the series producer/showrunner, and one is a secret agent assigned for deity-only-knows what reason to keep an eye on the contestants (theoretically, without letting the show's production team know what's going on). Which is which, what kind of game is it, are some or all of the contestants really Up To Something, and what happens when the agent's cover is blown?
II. 3 is exiled/sentenced by the temporal authorities to live in the American Wild West (circa the 1870s/80s); 5 is the caseworker assigned to make sure s/he stays there. What relationship ensues? Do we get a tender romance, an action/adventure partnership, a battle of deadly enemies, a wacky comedy, or something else entirely?
III. 4 and 8 are engaged in a life-and-death swordfight with each other. What circumstances led to the duel? And how will it end if (a) no one interferes, (b) 9 unexpectedly intervenes, (c) one of them is suddenly Quantum Leapt into by Sam Beckett in mid-battle?
IV. Imagine that 2, 10, and 14 have been transmogrified into Muppets and are part of the Muppet repertory company along with Kermit, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, and so on. What kind of movie ensues when the three are given significant co-starring roles, and how well (or poorly) do Our Heroes deal with living by the rules of Muppet physics?
