*dies* So basically, Babylon 5 is still not in your life, and you haven't read Carmilla. I can't in good conscience urge you to watch all of Babylon 5, since it's five seasons and a fairly large commitment, but omg, Carmilla! It's from 1872 and therefore a public domain text; basically, it is the adventures of a hapless teenage girl, Laura, and a goddamn lesbian vampire, Carmilla. (It is older than Dracula! And DELIGHTFUL.) I love it chiefly because as a story it is terrified of female sexuality and of lesbianism, but in such a way that I find it charming rather than offensive and mostly just want to deliberately misread the text for my own fun. In fact I may have promised jolly_utter fic in which they run off at the end to be lesbian vampires together.
But um yes! I am glad you enjoyed the ones you knew. :D
