I think I read too much old school fic that seemed to take the validity of the Game for granted! I always figured the Game was bullshit, but it seemed like few other Immortals questioned it in the show or the fic. Methos at least has to know it's just Immortal mythology, and a convenient excuse to kill anyone you have a grudge with. I'm frankly a little surprised that Methos or someone else who isn't the Methos-wannabe hasn't made an attempt to start a less violent Immortal myth.
